“Thanks to your employee Landon, a little girl is still alive tonight. A man ran into the store tonight screaming in Spanish, and the only word I understood was knife. Landon left the register and followed the man outside. Not knowing what he was running into, I left my milk on the counter and ran after him. The man lead us to a minivan and pointed inside. Landon went and jumped into the van, and I was right behind him. A small girl about three years old had gotten tangled in a seatbelt in the back of the van. It was wrapped around her neck several times and she was purple and barely breathing. Landon pulled out a knife and cut the belt saving her life. Once we were sure she was okay, and the paramedics arrived, we went back inside and he calmly rang me up for my gas and milk. Thankful for people like Landon at the right place at the right time.”
