Stillwater, OK (Feb. 14, 2019) – OnCue presented $10,000 to local United Way organizations following a successful fundraising cup campaign. OnCue sold more than 16,500 United Way collectors’ cups, giving 50 cents from each cup directly to the store’s local United Way.
United Way strives to build stronger, more compassionate communities by connecting families in need with responsible health and human service agencies. Sheri Carter, Executive Director, United Way of Payne County and Nina Daylor, Executive Vice President, United Way of Central Oklahoma attended the celebration.
“We are so appreciative to OnCue for their support. The cup sales not only raised crucial funding for United Way, but also helped to increase awareness of our mission to serve those in need in our community,” said Carter.
“We were thrilled to be included in OnCue’s cup sales this year. We set an ambitious fundraising goal and OnCue helped us generate greatly needed new dollars to help us surpass that goal. We sincerely appreciate the opportunity and the support for our community,” said Daylor.
Being a family-owned company in Oklahoma, OnCue attempts to be active in all the communities it serves.
“We love partnering with United Way and knowing that this gift creates opportunities for children, adults and seniors in our community,” said Laura Aufleger, President of OnCue. “By supporting the United Way, we can help connect Oklahomans in need with the appropriate resources to raise their quality of life and brighten their future.”
The cup campaign ran from November to the end of December 2018. OnCue operates stores in six United Way service areas, each of which is a recipient of the $10,000 gift.
