Lisa Thomas Receives Top Women in Convenience, Senior-Level Leader Award

May 3, 2019

Convenience Store News will welcome 41 more female leaders into its Top Women in Convenience family this fall, including OnCue’s beloved Lisa Thomas, Vice President of Human Resources.

TWIC is the first and only convenience store industry awards program that recognizes women making outstanding contributions to their companies and the industry overall. This well-deserved nomination draws from achievements during the previous 12 months, as nominators were asked to illustrate the candidate’s innovative corporate initiatives, extraordinary financial and strategic accomplishments, astute problem-solving acumen, exceptional performance and selfless charitable participation.

While Lisa’s primary role at OnCue is to establish and manage the practices and processes of human resources, her influence reaches every aspect of the organization. She is an essential component of human resources, training, risk management, internal communications and much more. She is an advocate for employees and the company, supporting our team through employee relations, recruiting, performance management, as well as legal and government compliance.

Lisa consistently goes beyond the scope of her role to ensure that OnCue’s mission is fulfilled and exemplified by each employee, dedicating her time to creating a unified, joyful workplace that functions at peak performance. Despite shouldering these many responsibilities, Lisa carries the position with refinement and humor, earning the respect and admiration of all those she works with.

All 2019 honorees will be celebrated at an awards gala on Oct. 2, taking place around the 2019 NACS Show, the largest annual gathering of the convenience store industry.
