Jim Griffith, OnCue Chief Executive Officer, was honored at the inaugural Cowboy 100 Honoree Gala at OSU. He was named one of the 76 fastest-growing Cowboy-owned or Cowboy-led businesses, and he was the second top revenue-generating OSU graduate-owned or led business.
Jim Griffith was 14 years old when he started in the convenience store industry. Spending most of his life working, learning and prospering in the business, he now has over 50 years of experience. As CEO of OnCue, Jim has overseen the company’s growth since he purchased it from his father in 1995. OnCue has grown from 11 stores to today’s 75 locations and employs more than 1,400 people in Oklahoma and Texas.
Jim has always been at the forefront of cutting-edge retail concepts including compressed natural gas, electric vehicle charging stations, drive-thrus, and dog parks. His legislative efforts and advocacy on behalf of the c-store industry are highly recognized, as well as his numerous community leadership positions.
Jim’s unique leadership style and life philosophy, “do the right thing from the start,” incites integrity and accountability. He truly encompasses a lead by example mentality and it has brought OnCue to the level of success it has today, including being named a Top Workplace in Oklahoma five times and a Top Workplace in the USA in 2021.
Under Jim’s direction, OnCue has advanced many of its programs, making it one of the most recognizable store retailers in the Midwest.
