OnCue FAQS
OnCue Fuel: Frequently Asked Questions
If you use a credit or debit card at the pump, the bank that issued your card may place a hold on your account that may exceed the purchase amount.
Authorization holds, often referred to as pending charges or pre-auths, allow us to verify that there are enough funds available on a payment method before you put the gas in your car.
If you are interested in our Fleet card program, please contact Scott Minton at S_Minton@OnCueExpress.com or (405) 338-8552.
It’s important to know how you are protected when filling up at the pump. The issue of skimmers and identity theft is an industry-wide problem. At OnCue, we are committed to making our stores a safe place for our customers. We have numerous measures in place to help us achieve this goal. We can’t discuss everything in order to maintain that level of safety, but for starters, our locations are bright, well-lit, high traffic facilities that have a large number of security cameras on site. We aggressively install all new technologies, and all pumps are EMV compliant, meaning they feature chip readers for a more secure payment process.
We also have pressure sensitive seals on all of our pumps that must be replaced anytime a pump is opened. We have initiated a rigorous training and inspection program for our employees to educate them on these issues.
Pump alarms are another way we prevent skimmers. If someone were to tamper with the doors of the pumps, a silent alarm would be triggered, alerting the appropriate parties, and the pump would automatically be disabled.
As a customer, if you are at a gas pump and you go to insert your credit card, make sure the card reader doesn’t look loose. If it does look funny or something doesn’t look quite right to you, report it immediately to an employee.
We always encourage people to come experience the OnCue difference. We believe this holds true from our customer service, product selection, Top Tier Fuel, and especially when it comes to making you and your loved ones feel safe when you go to fill up.
Our credit card processors immediately send a release of the authorized funds once your financial institution approves the authorization. Depending on your financial institution, it may take up to 7 days for the authorization to fall off your account, depending on the bank’s policy or practice. For more information regarding your bank’s policies, call the customer service number on the back of your card.
